An absolutely
stunning faceted black rutilated quartz teardrop briolette is the center of this masterpiece. At 40.5 cts it measures 25x17mm
and is perfectly clear with black needles running through it. Its markings are wonderful with the bulk of them concentrated
toward the back of the stone in sort of a tall grass formation. If worn with the needles in the front of the stone they are
very pronounced, if turned around and worn with the needles in the back of the stone it has a more "jeweled" appearance.
Just lovely either way.
I have handwrapped rough cut black diamonds on handcrafted sterling silver ball pins and
attached several to each link of a chain. As the diamonds run up the side of the neck they graduate in color and size from
black to grey (they are actually called brown diamonds but they are silvery grey in appearance). There are approximately 750
individual diamonds in all. I have left the back of the chain plain so as not to have the wearers hair entangle in the clusters.
I have used a textured link sterling silver chain and finished it with a sterling silver Bali hook clasp and my signature
Estancia tag.
Measures approximately 18" (45.8cm) in length with the pendant dropping an additional 1"
(2.54cm).
